In a hidden valley near Antigua, Guatemala, there lies a town of creatives that have been long-overlooked. This little pueblo is called Pastores and is chock-full of leather-workers and shoemakers that have been designing and creating for generations.
When we first came to this town, we dreamed of partnering with these talented artisans and bringing their art to the world. We outfitted our own small factory, helped our artisans study for degrees in business and accounting, and designed and made thousands of pairs of shoes for art-loving customers worldwide.
Six years later, we moved with our stellar team of artisans to a new creation-space in Antigua, Guatemala. A beautiful colonial house with inspiring spaces and with easier access to share our designs and skills with the visitors and residents of this bigger-little town.
In this new space, we will be making shoes for Teysha, as well as expanding our Private Label production. That means we will be making shoes for more brands and bringing more opportunities to our artisans.
We will also be offering classes for creatives to learn leather-working, textile design, embroidery, and of course - shoe-making! Stay tuned for classes coming in October 2019.
If you are in Guatemala and would like to visit our creation space, write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org - we will be happy to show you around and help you design some shoes or accessories with the artisans.
Our workshop is open Monday-Friday from 9-5 -- If you would like to visit outside of our regular hours, we will be happy to open up for you. Just give us a heads up that you're coming by sending an e-mail!
